A passion project born from two decades of wanderlust
Over the past 20 years, I've been fortunate enough to travel to almost every kind of place imaginable—from bustling metropolises to remote villages, sun-soaked beaches to snow-capped mountains, ancient temples to modern marvels. Each journey has left its mark, a collection of memories and photographs that tell the story of a life lived curiously.
But here's what I realized: at the end of all these adventures, all these memories and pictures often end up scattered across different phones, hard drives, and cloud accounts. Sometimes, I just want to be able to glance quickly and see where I've been—to relive those moments, to remember the feeling of standing somewhere new for the first time.
If you've ever tried to plan a trip with family or friends, you know how challenging it can be. And when it comes to company trips or group travel, the complexity multiplies. Everyone has different ideas, preferences, budgets, and must-see destinations. Coordinating all of these opinions while trying to create an itinerary that works for everyone can feel impossible.
I've been there—countless spreadsheets, endless group chats, and the inevitable compromise where nobody ends up completely happy. There had to be a better way.
That's why I built Đi Đu Đi. This tool is designed to help all of us plan better, collaborate more effectively, and ultimately have better travel experiences.
But it's more than just a planning tool. It's a platform that connects travelers with local knowledge—tour guides, locals, and fellow travelers who have been there before. People who know the hidden gems, the restaurants that don't show up on tourist maps, and the experiences that make a trip truly memorable.
For those who have accumulated years of travel wisdom, this is also an opportunity. If you've explored a destination inside and out, you can share that knowledge, create curated itineraries, or even offer guided experiences. It's a way to help others while earning from your expertise.
You can create a trip and enter some basic information, then publish it in advance to ask other travelers to help suggest good places for you to review and try. It's like having a network of friends around the world who've already done the legwork.
This app is your community—a travel sisterhood that helps each other save money, have better experiences, enjoy great food, and discover things we never would have found on our own.
Think about it: how many times have you searched Google, scrolled through countless apps, only to end up at the same tourist traps everyone else visits? The problem with most travel platforms is that they're filled with "tour guides" and "tour packages" designed to keep you super safe, maximize profits, or cater to your "vacation mode." There's nothing wrong with that—but it's not how you find the real magic of a place.
Many times, the best hidden gems are recommended by a local—not by someone who searched the internet and compiled a list. A local knows that hole-in-the-wall restaurant with the best pho in the city. A fellow traveler remembers that quiet beach that doesn't show up on any travel blog. Someone who lived there for years knows which street has the best sunset view.
That's what we're building here: a place where real experiences are shared by real people. No algorithms pushing paid partnerships. No generic "top 10" lists. Just travelers helping travelers find the moments that make a trip unforgettable.
My vision is simple: I want everyone to be able to travel with confidence, even to places they've never been. Whether you're planning a solo adventure, a family vacation, or a company retreat, Đi Đu Đi is here to help you discover, plan, and experience the world in a way that's meaningful to you.
Clone an itinerary from someone who's already done the research. Collaborate with your travel companions in real-time. Find a local guide who can show you their city through their eyes. Keep all your travel memories in one beautiful place.
I hope you all enjoy this app.
Here's to many more adventures ahead.
